Alien / Old Marine Barrack’s gable stone on the entrance of Metro station Oostplein, Rotterdam. The gable stone was part of a gate at the Nieuwe Haven that was the entrance of the courtyard of the barracks until 1934. During construction in the courtyard, around 1934, this gable stone was saved. The bombardment of 1940 destroyed the Marine Barracks. This gable stone is pretty much all that is left and has been on display since 1982.
